I am a very smart gal!

My name is Sophie and I am 5 years old as of January 2010.
5 years ago I was adopted by my owner from a Kill Shelter as a companion pet.

I have lived with the same Humans for all this time, but the Human that provided
me my home has gotten Cancer and needs lots of help to get better.
So it was agreed that I would be much
happier in a home with a more stable future.

I am in Foster Care now with one

of the family members.

Some important things to know about me;

- I am VERY house trained.

- I don't need to be created while you are away at work or shopping. I behave well when you are gone.

- I am a 'Close Range K9'. So I don't have a 'need' to run away from my home.

- I walk well on a lead and when safe from busy roads, you don't need a leash for me because I will stay where I can see you.

- I like to play 'fetch' and 'hide-and-go-seek'.

- I am good with children.

- I am a DOMINATE doggie that likes to be Queen Bee in a multi-doggie home. Beware; I will fight for my hierarchy with other dogs that try and dominate me.

- I am Cat safe, but tend to really want to "focus" hard on the cat(s). If they ignore me after I check them out, then I leave them alone. If they run.....I case. If they hang out where I can't reach them, then I whine to be near them.

- I am a HERDING dog. That means I like to 'work' other animals into order. Hence the fixation on Cats that don't follow my prompts to move where I think they should go.

- I AM SUPER SMART. I can learn a lot.

- When it's time to go for a walk; If you say "Sit", I will do so, plus hold my chin up so you can click the lead on my collar with ease.

Like I said; I am smart! Really!!!

I have had good vetting and have been well cared for.
I do bark to let you know how I feel.
(i.e. Need to be let out, stranger approaching
house, time to feed me.....)
